Besides being a Gpodder sync server, I'd like users to have the option to use Otter as a web podcast player. This is a big project, but would be very practical alongside the sync server for mobile usage.

Requirements

  • Periodic refreshing of podcast feeds and storing metadata of new episodes
  • web UI for scrolling through new episodes
    • Ideally with search
  • Web player for listening to episodes
  • Sync with the Gpodder database so the client integrates with the current Gpodder system
  • Automatic tracking of playback information
