An example of where this would be useful is when a package uses cmake. Cmake can be easily configured to use sccache, solely using environment variables. However, it does require access to sccache in the container, creating a need for this feature.

This setting would be very useful when creating the build image as well. Once we have a system for properly using multiple base images, we can add this as well.
